Horsell Garden Safari - 23 & 24 June 2018

Posted on behalf of Horsell Garden Safari
This year is our 16th Garden Safari and approximately 21 gardens will be open, several of them being new to the scheme. Many of the gardens that are open this year were not open last year. All gardens will have a Seymours board showing their location.

St Mary's Church will be open with a newly created wildflower garden and a garden of peace and hope at the bottom end of the churchyard. There will be a trail of bunting made by all the local schools with poppies and words to commemorate the ending of WW1 a century ago.

There will be plenty of places to stop for a cuppa and a piece of cake or even a Pimm's, as you visit all the gardens.

Funds raised will go towards the refurbishment of Horsell Village Hall and Woking Community Hospital.

Plants will be on sale in a few gardens with a large plant sale in aid of charity in High Street.

Horsell Residents' Association

Horsell Residents' Association was formed in 1965 as a non-political group open to all adult residents of Horsell. It exists as "the independent voice of Horsell" to:

1. promote, uphold and protect the interests of residents in matters that affect Horsell and its environs.

2. bring those matters to the notice of relevant bodies and accordingly keep its members informed.

3. support and promote social and benevolent activities for the general benefit of Horsell residents

Horsell Residents' Association upholds these aims activities including: publishing the quarterly magazine - The Resident - delivered by volunteers to all households; organising a Horsell Village Show and also through support of Horsell' community action team the Second Thursday Club.
