Horsell Wednesday Weekly walk - 11 July @ 9:50am for 10am

Posted on behalf of Second Thursday Club
Explore the local footpaths and countryside: it’s sociable and good for your health!

Meet as usual outside Beijing Restaurant, Horsell High Street at 9:50 am ready to leave at 10am.

This week , we thought we would slightly change the format of the walk. We will walk down Cheapside and onto Horsell Common at the Sandy Track car Park , across the common to Maclarens park. So we can enjoy the paths cut through the meadow of grasses and wild flowers, we will spend some time “ meandering through the meadows” and stop at the picnic benches, for water, coffee maybe a snack: so please bring something with you. This will extend the walk in time but not too much in distance and will allow a little rest in the shade before getting back to the High Street, around 12:15.

  • When: Every Wednesday at 9.50am ready to start at 10am
  • Duration: Return by 12:15
  • Where: Meet by the village notice board, High Street (outside The Beijing Restaurant)
  • Bring: Water, sun cream and insect cream advisable and good footwear.
For more information contact: Caroline on 01483 767980 or just turn up.

Horsell Residents' Association

Horsell Residents' Association was formed in 1965 as a non-political group open to all adult residents of Horsell. It exists as "the independent voice of Horsell" to:

1. promote, uphold and protect the interests of residents in matters that affect Horsell and its environs.

2. bring those matters to the notice of relevant bodies and accordingly keep its members informed.

3. support and promote social and benevolent activities for the general benefit of Horsell residents

Horsell Residents' Association upholds these aims activities including: publishing the quarterly magazine - The Resident - delivered by volunteers to all households; organising a Horsell Village Show and also through support of Horsell' community action team the Second Thursday Club.
