40th Horsell Scouts and Guides May Fayre - Monday 7 May @ 11:45am

Turning 40 is a milestone that may be considered middle aged or over the hill, however with the May Fayre we are only just getting started and have had years of experience to perfect this annual event.

The exciting free event in the annual Horsell social calendar, is to be opened at 12 midday by The Mayor of Woking, Cllr. Graham Cundy with County and local dignitaries from Scouts and Guides. There will be something for everyone. Make sure you put it in your calendar.

After enjoying the Soft play, inflatables, facepainting, and the popular climbing wall, all should sit back and take it easy, watching the talented Summercales Dancers and listening to live music from the Music Marquee with live music all afternoon from local performers, including and starring Stillwell and Lacey. Singers, musicians and even bell ringers.

Another enjoyable part of the day is the sampling of the delights created on the BBQ or pancake stall, washed down with fine ales from the Thurston's Brewery beer tent, you and your friends and family will have a great day.

As the main annual fundraising event for Horsell Scouts and Guides look out for the May Fayre Programmes for £1, available before the day in Horsell shops and from our door to door Guides and Scouts in the local area. On the day, they will also be available together with the hourly raffle with many great prizes for everyone to win.

This year’s fantastic May Fayre sponsors are Seymours Estate Agents, Horsell, Trident Honda, Halstead School, WADP Architects and the Victoria Chiropractor Centre. Without them, the May Fayre would struggle to provide the first rate family entertainment that it does each year – Thank you!

Horsell Residents' Association

Horsell Residents' Association was formed in 1965 as a non-political group open to all adult residents of Horsell. It exists as "the independent voice of Horsell" to:

1. promote, uphold and protect the interests of residents in matters that affect Horsell and its environs.

2. bring those matters to the notice of relevant bodies and accordingly keep its members informed.

3. support and promote social and benevolent activities for the general benefit of Horsell residents

Horsell Residents' Association upholds these aims activities including: publishing the quarterly magazine - The Resident - delivered by volunteers to all households; organising a Horsell Village Show and also through support of Horsell' community action team the Second Thursday Club.
