Horsell Flowerpot Festival - Summer 2018!

Horsell Flowerpot Festival - Summer 2018!

This year the Second Thursday Club will be holding a Flowerpot Festival in Horsell which will run throughout the summer.

The idea of this fun event is for anyone to make a flowerpot creation and display it in front of or in the window of their house, shop, school, pub, cafe premises etc. It will be free to enter and once we have a few flowerpot creations around the village a trail map will be produced so that everyone can have fun spotting them during the summer holiday. The Flowerpot Festival 2018 will be launched on the Garden Safari weekend which starts on the 23rd June and the festival will run until 17th August. A free flowerpot creative workshop will be run before the event for those who want to be inspired and get hints and tips on how to put the flowerpots together - date to be announced soon.

More information about the event will be posted on: as well as on the village notice board (outside The Beijing Restaurant) and in the window of the proposed Horsell Hub (Seymours' old premises) and The Horsell Wire Facebook page.

Any queries please email

It's that time of year when gardeners are getting busy in the garden so please don't throw away those unwanted flowerpots as no doubt there will be a school, organisation or neighbour who might like them soon.
